VIDHU ADHIHETTY
Hi, I'm Vidhu.
I am a 3rd year PhD candidate in the Mathematics department at Columbia University, advised by Prof. Aise Johan de Jong. I am broadly interested in arithmetic and algebraic geometry, and specifically interested in Hodge theory. At the moment, I am studying Noether-Lefschetz loci and trying to show finiteness of certain ‘exceptional components’ of these loci using a mix of tools from o-minimality and infinitesimal methods in the study of variations of Hodge structures.
Outside of mathematics, I like to play chess, do crossword puzzles, play pickleball and play tennis.
